A taste of things to come...couture mermaid-themed accessories for sale, handmade by yours truly!

This is a hairpiece I made for myself to wear at my last mermaid photo shoot. (photos from that shoot coming soon btw!) I wanted to create something dramatic and ridiculously glittery and sparkly, but also have it look somewhat organic and full of treasures a mermaid might find at the bottom of the sea.
I used real seashells (which I glazed with pearlescent shine) and mixed them with genuine swarovski crystals, freshwater and glass pearls, and bits of faux "coral" ..then made a birdcage veil out of white netting that actually came from a bag made to hold seashells! Us mermaids do lust after all the glitters, but that's not to say we aren't resourceful!
This particular item is not for sale, but I thought it would be fun to share it here as an example for possible commissions. I plan to start an Etsy with similar items in the next week or so in case any of my fellow mermaids are interested in some of my mer-accessories.

Wow! You put alot of effort of making it. It reminds me of the time I made my seashell cross, which I made in honor of the very person that I will meet one day, Jodi Benson.
